JOELE ANASTASI IS A DIRECTOR, PLAYWRIGHT AND ACTOR. HIS WORK MOVES THROUGH BODY, WRITING, SPACE AND THEATRE RESEARCH.
In 2013 he co-founds the company Vuccirìa Teatro. His path combines original writing and stage research centred on the body and on language as a system of relation.
The humanities of the margins are at the centre of his imagination, crossing Mediterranean magical realism, myth and tragic devices read in the present, bringing body, desire and community to their points of fracture.
He is co-founder of the international collective Palazzo Suburbio (Italy/Spain/Portugal).
