Sicily, late 1980s.

Two cousins grow up like brother and sister, playing to erase the ancestral loneliness of a fatherless family.

They are prey too vulnerable without anyone to give defence or awareness: behind the shutters hides a village that spies, judges and does not live.

She dreams of leaving the island that cradles and drowns them.

He dreams of freely loving a man.

Within Tre Riti sull'Amore, Io, mai niente con nessuno avevo fatto is the station of the vigil.

From the moment the virus is merely named, Giovanni is assigned a death: he is seen as a ghost.

As in an ancient tragedy, the guilt of those who rebel must be expiated.

While everyone already mourns his death, his instinct for life explodes candidly and redeems the village.
